My Ribbon Art is based on the fashion of Cockades, which were designed to create adornments for women’s hats in the 30s, 40s and 50s.  They were also part of military uniforms, and became more common place when used as medallions for awards and ribbons e.g. ‘First Place Winner’. 

These are beautiful adornments on hats.  AND, they can be used in new and creative ways.  For example: they can be framed in a shadow box as wall art; they can be clipped onto shoes, a lapel, a clutch purse, headbands and elastic ribbon necklaces and bracelets; they dress up a curtain tie-back; they can adorn a gift box; they can be worn on the wrists by the bridesmaids in the colors of the wedding, and so on. You’ll find new ways to use them too I’m sure.  Have a special use in mind? let me know and I’ll work with you on it.  Each ribbon art piece comes with a pin and/or a clip and/or a stickpin - your choice.  Each has a number instead of a color name you can use to identify the one you want.
